AI Maturity
Find out how AI-ready your organisation actually is.
A structured assessment across twelve dimensions of AI maturity, answered by your real workforce rather than estimated in a boardroom, so the strategy you build next rests on evidence instead of optimism.
The problem
Most organisations cannot answer basic questions about their own AI position. Does a strategy exist, and does anyone below the executive floor know what it says? Are people using AI daily through approved tools, or quietly through personal accounts? Is the data even in a state that AI could use?
Leadership self-assessments consistently overstate readiness, because the people filling them in are the furthest from the day-to-day work. The result is transformation programmes built on an inaccurate picture of the starting line, and pilots that stall for reasons nobody surfaced in advance.
This platform closes that gap by asking the whole organisation, in structured form, and scoring the answers on a consistent scale.
What it does
Twelve dimensions of maturity
The assessment covers the full span of what determines whether AI actually lands:
Strategy & Vision
whether a real AI strategy exists and execution follows it
Leadership & Culture
sponsorship, psychological safety, and attitudes to experimentation
Current AI Usage
actual frequency and depth of use, including shadow AI on personal accounts
Skills & Talent
literacy, training that changes behaviour, champions, and hiring
Data & Infrastructure
data trust, system integration, and protection of sensitive material
Governance & Ethics
policies, risk tiering, bias, incident handling, disclosure and human review
Process & Integration
whether processes were redesigned for AI or AI was bolted onto old steps
Innovation & Scaling
pilots, how failure is treated, and whether anything reaches production
Individual AI Proficiency
prompting ability, validation habits, and failure-mode awareness
Use Case Clarity
whether high-value use cases are identified, validated and owned
Financial & Vendor Readiness
budget, ROI metrics, cost visibility, and vendor governance
AI Transformation Readiness
sponsorship authority, capacity, change track record, and blockers
A five-level scale, anchored in behaviour
Every question offers five options describing observable states rather than abstract scores, from "no AI vision or strategy exists" through to "AI vision is fully embedded in long-term planning". Respondents recognise their own reality in the wording, which makes answers far harder to inflate than a one-to-five slider.
Questions that adapt to the answers
The assessment branches. Say a formal AI strategy exists and it asks how closely execution follows it. Say you rarely use AI tools and it asks what the actual barrier is (no access, no starting point, poor results, or policy restrictions). Say training exists and it probes whether any of it changed how people work.
That follow-up layer is where the useful findings live, because it separates organisations that have the artefact from organisations that have the practice.
Organisation-wide, not just the top
Each client organisation tracks its registered employees and how many have completed the assessment, so you can see coverage before you trust the result. Scores roll up to an organisational view with an evaluation date, and the spread between leadership and staff answers becomes visible in its own right.
A portfolio view for advisors
Organisations are managed as tenants, tagged by sector, and marked active or archived. Auto-generated insights surface patterns across the whole portfolio (which sectors are stalling on completion, which accounts have gone quiet, where a successful pattern could be repeated).
Configurable question bank
Administrators can edit, reorder and preview questions, draft new ones with AI assistance, and review the bank as a summary table. An audit log, account management and signup tracking sit alongside it.
Who it's for
Organisations planning AI investment that need a defensible baseline before committing budget, and the consultancies, advisors and fractional AI leaders who need a repeatable, evidence-based way to assess clients and measure movement over time.
Still to confirm
Not yet confirmed
The research behind this page lists these as unverified, so they are not stated anywhere on it: how scores are calculated and presented to a client, what the output report or readout looks like, benchmarking against peers, pricing, whether the framework maps to an external standard, and typical assessment duration.
