FCAIO Portal

Run a fractional Chief AI Officer practice, not a folder of decks.

One system for the whole book of business (pipeline, phased engagements, generated deliverables, capacity, renewals and a live view of AI regulation across ten jurisdictions).

The ten jurisdictions tracked, beside the six fields every register entry carries. A structural diagram: no instrument is named and no value is shown.
What every entry in the governance tracker has to carry. The diagram shows the register’s structure rather than its contents — no instrument is named and no value is stated. The environment researched for this page is a proof of concept, and the tracker is information rather than legal advice.

The problem

Fractional AI leadership is a real market with no real tooling behind it. Practitioners run engagements out of a project tool never designed for advisory work, rebuild the same readiness audit and kickoff deck for every client, and track retainers and renewals in a spreadsheet.

The regulatory side is worse. Advising a board on AI governance means keeping current with the EU AI Act, US federal and state activity, and a fast-moving set of Asian and Australian regimes, a research job most practices cannot staff.

The FCAIO Portal is built specifically for that practice model: the delivery method, the commercial cadence, and the regulatory awareness the role actually requires.

What it does

Your whole book of business at a glance

A practice dashboard covers winning, delivering and growing in one view: a review queue, risk signals, capacity across the coming weeks measured in real obligations, and an "attention needed" panel for anything slipping, overdue or stalled.

It also proposes your next moves in priority order, with the reasoning attached, so the recommendation is arguable rather than mysterious.

Engagements as the record of truth

Each client is one engagement record carrying stage, retainer value, renewal date, intake progress and health. Open it to work the roadmap, generate documents into the client's vault, and track delivered value against the fee.

Phased delivery with generated deliverables

Engagements run through a defined phase sequence, discovery and readiness baseline first, then onward, with each phase carrying objectives and an authored document sequence. The portal knows what should exist at each stage, notices when a phase objective is unmet with nothing in the vault, and offers to generate the missing artefact in the right order.

Nothing goes out without you

Drafts land in a review queue rather than a client's inbox. The product states the principle plainly: drafted by your practice, and nothing is ever sent without you. The automation removes the blank page, not your judgement.

A live AI governance tracker

An independent view of AI-governance law across ten jurisdictions, the European Union, US federal and state, the United Kingdom, China, South Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Singapore and Australia.

Every instrument is sourced from primary sources, scored for impact, and carries its key dates, current status and a validation timestamp. Confidence is recorded honestly: where only an unofficial translation was available, or an official page could not be retrieved, the entry says so. Upcoming deadlines surface in their own view, and the tracker states clearly that it is information rather than legal advice.

For a fractional CAIO this is the difference between an opinion and a briefing.

The commercial side

Pipeline management, a go-to-market toolkit, portfolio and growth views, analytics, a content library, brand assets, an academy, and a copilot alongside the work.

Who it's for

Fractional Chief AI Officers, independent AI advisors, and consultancies running retained AI leadership engagements, anyone carrying several client relationships that each need structured delivery, regulatory currency and a renewal that has to be re-earned.

Still to confirm

Not yet confirmed

The research behind this page lists these as unverified, so they are not stated anywhere on it: pricing and subscription tiers, who the buyer is (the fractional CAIO themselves, or a firm equipping several), how often the governance tracker is refreshed and by whom, whether the tracker is available separately, and what the Academy and GTM Toolkit contain in depth.

Run your practice on a system built for it.
